Technology and Security
The software uses a mix of modern communications technology of GPS, GSM and GPRS combined with the latest visualization software. It uses a variety of Microsoft programmes including Microsoft Virtual Earth and Microsoft SQL databases.
Encryption
Encryption and security are a prime priority for our organization. The application
works in such a way as to ensure that any intercepted messages will not reveal the
identity and location of an individual.
Indigo Tracker’s mobile application does not send out a client’s name, username
or phone number so they can’t be identified. Instead, it uses database-generated,
hashed encryption to create a User Identification (UID) character set which replaces
names or usernames. Instead of John Smith, for example, the application sends a
random code and a string of numbers which represent a longitude and latitude. This
is only converted into a username and map location when it reaches the Servers.
Security
The highest level of security is implemented to protect all data. The servers and databases utilize the highest security protocols, equivalent to major international banks. All data is accessed from servers which are stored underground in a 24 hour manned facility in the former-Bank of England vaults, with replicated backup servers in two remote locations for disaster recovery and resilience purposes. In addition, a system of passwords and identity verification protocols can be initiated when communicating with the Client Response Center to prevent unauthorized people trying to access user’s information.
